A movement to reframe body image and enable everyone, everywhere, to discover and celebrate the real you. Learn how and why we’re doing it.

The connection between mind and body is in many ways our most enduring and intimate relationship, directly impacting behavior, health and well being.

Imagine a world where we focused on how our bodies function, instead of how we look. Imagine being one healthy whole… in both mind and body.

We must commit to achieving a genuine peace and contentment surrounding our body image and self worth. We can do this by becoming aware, becoming mindful, improving our own body image and then spreading the word. We can start this movement today by reflecting on ourselves… our real selves.

The Body Image Project features weekly stories from real people discussing their body image struggles and triumphs. Learn from their stories & share your own.

Join the movement. Discover the real you.

i actually appraise body image with most of my being. i do want to know if women bodies are overated biut cant seem grasp that it is. big boobs big butt and skinny waist not too skinny but just right is really the true body image a women can obtain as the best. trust me ive been on this for awhile. but i do want to know if its overated is being the most beautiful physical body image anybody can obtain. the body image of a women i just explained. can a man be more beautiful than the most beautiful women in the world not counting celebrities. if it is men wouldnt considered to be just simple and only should have sucess in life and not consider beautiful at all. it just seems selfish to me that media has to say women will always be more beautiful than man will ever achieve. i just want to know if that is the truth i can accept and put my mind at rest but if men can be more beautiful than the most beautiful women in world i would be at complete harmony with myself. im not a sexist of any sort i actualy love women more than making friends with any guy. its not hormones or sexual interest its just cause women seem to me more happier to talk. if could anyone answer these question u would literally help a whole lot please tell me what u think and not that u shouldnt rely on body image cause is exactly what i love as one my main things in my life.

body image will always be an issue to girls of any age as everyone's perception of perfections is so different. I've read on here numerous girls who wish they had bigger boobs, I am a size 10 and I am a natural 34 G, I would do anything to have smaller boobs to me they are an embarrassment to me they are like a defect, but I no longer allow it to get me down the way I see it the grass is always greener on the other side and unless you except who you are you will never be happy

I reall want to become involved in healthy experiences as it relates to my body. I've had an eating disorder for 30 years and just recently got out of a month long treatment center. I want to surround myself with healthy, positive thoughts to continue my journey toward a peaceful, healthy life
